No shocking result in a game when fourth ranked MH Basket (9-9) beat 6th ranked Gimnasia LP (7-11) in Monte Hermoso 74-67 on Tuesday. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Gimnasia LP won fourth quarter 22-20. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a good game for swingman Exequiel Cassinelli (196-92) who led his team to a victory with 24 points and 7 rebounds. Guard Leonel Alvarez (186-89) contributed with 18 points (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) for the winners. Forward Maximiliano Segon (200-91) replied with 19 points and 7 rebounds and point guard Leonardo La Bella (180-86) added 15 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Gimnasia LP. Four Gimnasia LP players scored in double figures. MH Basket moved-up to third place, which they share with Barrio Parque and Olimpo BB. Newly promoted Gimnasia LP dropped to the fourth position with 11 games lost. MH Basket will have a break next round. Gimnasia LP will play on the road against Olimpo (#4) in Bahia Blanca and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
