The game between third ranked Telge (13-5) and sixth ranked Alvik Basket (7-10) was the most important one in the last round on Wednesday night. Telge was defeated by Alvik Basket in a tough game in Stockholm 65-73. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Telge. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Telge won third quarter 19-17. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Alvik Basket won last quarter 25-19. They made 18-of-22 free shots (81.8 percent) during the game. Alvik Basket outrebounded Telge 47-32 including 19 on the offensive glass. American players dominated the game. Guard Syessence Davis (170-93, college: Rutgers, agency: Merit Management Group) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 12 points, 11 rebounds and 7 assists. Center Shareta Brown (185-93, college: Wayne St., MI, agency: Merit Management Group) contributed with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. Four Alvik Basket players scored in double figures. Alvik Basket's coach Francisco Pinto used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Alvik Basket are looking forward to face league's second-placed Udominate in Umea in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Telge will play on the road against the league's leader Lulea Basket and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
