There was no surprise in Ostrow Mazowiecki where 7th ranked KK Warszawa (6-8) was defeated by fifth ranked Ostrow Mazow. (8-6) 85-75 on Wednesday. Ostrow Mazow. forced 20 KK Warszawa turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was Przemyslaw Jaworski (200-92) who had a double-double by scoring 25 points and 14 rebounds (on 11-of-14 shooting from the field). Guard Bartosz Grudzinski (186-91) chipped in 19 points and 9 assists (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line). Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. KK Warszawa's coach Andrzej Kierlewicz tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Ostrow Mazow. maintains fifth position in Group B with 8-6 record. KK Warszawa lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the seventh place with eight games lost. Ostrow Mazow. will face Polonia W-wa (#12) in Warszawa in the next round and are hoping to win another game. KK Warszawa will play at home against Tur Bielsk Pdl. (#11) and hope to win that game.
