Important game to mention about took place in Parana. Fourth ranked CASLA (15-12) saved a 3-point victory on the road edging 9th ranked Sionista (11-16) 75-72 on Wednesday evening. Guest team only slightly avoided a big embarassment. The guests trailed by 1 point at the halftime before their 21-15 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to win the game. Strangely Sionista outrebounded CASLA 51-31 including a 20-8 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was international guard Nicolas Aguirre (188-88) who scored 20 points. The former international Marcos Mata (201-86) chipped in 9 points and 8 rebounds. Cuban point guard Reynaldo Garcia (187-90, agency: DTMones) produced a double-double by scoring 22 points and 13 rebounds and American center Dwayne Jones (211-83, college: St.Joseph's) added 10 points and 17 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Four Sionista players scored in double figures. CASLA moved-up to third place, which they share with Quimsa. Loser Sionista dropped to the seventh position with 16 games lost. CASLA will face league's second-placed Libertad Sunchales on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week.
