No shocking result in a game when fifth ranked Romanian ICIM Arad (5-1) beat at home 7th ranked Czech Kara Trutnov (2-2) 63-56 on Wednesday. Kara Trutnov trailed by 18 points after 3 quarters before a 21-10 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 56-63 at the end of the game. ICIM Arad dominated on the defensive end, holding Kara Trutnov to just 5 points in third quarter. American forward Shawnta Dyer (185-91, college: Louisville) orchestrated the victory by scoring 15 points and 7 rebounds. The other American import swingman Kristen McCarthy (182-90, college: Temple) contributed with 15 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Swingman Michaela Vondrackova (175-91) replied with 25 points and 4 assists and American forward Emily Cady (188-93, college: Nebraska) added 6 points and 11 rebounds in the effort for Kara Trutnov. ICIM Arad have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain fifth position with 5-1 record. Kara Trutnov at the other side keeps the seventh place with two games lost. ICIM Arad will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game.
