Regular Season Round 13: Olimpia - Gorizont 73-76

The most exciting game of round 13 in the Premier League took place in Grodno. This derby game ended with only three-point home defeat of their biggest opponent Olimpia GrGAU (10-2) to third ranked Gorizont (11-2) 76-73 in the game for the second place. It was a key game for the second position in the league. The guests trailed by 6 points after three quarters before their 27-18 charge, which allowed them to win the game. International forward Nataliya Trafimava (185-79) stepped up and scored 14 points and 9 rebounds for the winners and the former international guard Natalia Anufryienka (174-85) chipped in 20 points. Four Gorizont players scored in double figures. At the losing side forward Olga Kopylova (187-82) responded with 20 points and 8 rebounds and the former international Tatsiana Dashkevich (178-89) scored 15 points and 5 rebounds. Olimpia GrGAU's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Gorizont have an impressive series of six victories in a row. They moved-up to second place. Olimpia GrGAU at the other side dropped to the third position with two games lost. Gorizont are looking forward to face bottom-ranked Kameya (#9) in Smolensk in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Olimpia GrGAU will play on the road against the league's leader Tsmoki-Minsk (#1) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
