Premier League top team - Tsmoki-Minsk (12-0) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed eighth ranked BrGU COR Victoria (3-10) in Brest 85-62. It looked good early as BrGU COR Victoria took a 2-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then Tsmoki-Minsk had a 26-13 second period charge getting the lead and BrGU COR Victoria was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 62-85. Tsmoki-Minsk forced 19 BrGU COR Victoria turnovers and outrebounded them 49-33 including a 18-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. American guard Amber Jones (170-91, college: UAB) nailed 14 points and 8 rebounds for the winning side and forward Viktoriya Pankova (185-93) accounted for 15 points and 7 rebounds. Five Tsmoki-Minsk players scored in double figures. Guard Katsiaryna Shastsilouskaya (179-93) came up with 24 points and 5 rebounds and Maryia Rashchenia (185-92) added 15 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists respectively for BrGU COR Victoria in the defeat. The victory was the twelfth consecutive win for Tsmoki-Minsk. Defending champion maintains first place with 12-0 record. BrGU COR Victoria at the other side dropped to the seventh position with ten games lost. Tsmoki-Minsk will play against Olimpia GrGAU (#3) in Grodno in the next round, which may be the game of the day. BrGU COR Victoria will have a break next round.
