Regular Season Round 19: Chemidor - Gorgan 67-56

No shocking result in a game when fourth ranked Chemidor (13-5) beat 6th ranked Shahrdari Gorgan (10-9) in Tehran 67-56. Shahrdari Gorgan was ahead by 8 points after three quarters before a 26-7 charge of Chemidor, which allowed them to win the game. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Shahrdari Gorgan to just 7 points in fourth quarter. Chemidor made 17-of-22 charity shots (77.3 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Shahrdari Gorgan 39-27 including 24 on the defensive glass. It was a great evening for the former international point guard Farid Aslani (183-88) who led his team to a victory scoring 12 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. The former international forward Amir Sedighi (203-93) helped adding 14 points and 6 rebounds. Four Chemidor players scored in double figures. At the losing side British power forward Ryan Richards (212-91, agency: Three Eye Sports) responded with 26 points and 7 rebounds (made all of his eight free throws) and the former international guard Benny Koochoie (190-86, college: CS Stanislaus) scored 9 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals. Chemidor have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Arak. Shahrdari Gorgan at the other side keeps the sixth position with nine games lost. Chemidor will play against league's leader Petrochimi in Bandar Imam in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Shahrdari Gorgan will play on the road against Azad (#5) in Tehran and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
