Another exciting game was played in Bratislava between eighth ranked Cassovia K. and 5th ranked Slovan where Cassovia K. (1-16) rolled over Slovan (6-13) on the road with 19-point difference 61-42. Cassovia K. dominated on the defensive end, holding Slovan to just 5 points in second quarter. They held Slovan to an opponent 24.6 percent shooting from the field compared to 39.1 percent accuracy of the winners. They outrebounded Slovan 45-34 including 17 on the offensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of power forward Beata Jassova (185-93) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 21 points and 17 rebounds. Forward Katarina Timkova (172-81) contributed with 16 points and 6 assists for the winners. Center Renata Talajkova (189-81) answered with 6 points and 12 rebounds and center Zofia Zarevuckaa (190-95) added 7 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Slovan. Slovan's coach rotated twelve players seeing no chance for a win. Cassovia K. maintains eighth place with 1-16 record. Slovan at the other side keeps the fifth position with 13 games lost. Cassovia K. will play against higher ranked Samorin (#4) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Slovan will play against BAM Poprad and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
