Regular Season Round 36: Libertad S. - San Lorenzo 79-91

An interesting game for CASLA (16-12) which played road game in Sunchales against second-best Libertad Sunchales (17-13). Third ranked CASLA managed to get a 12-point victory 91-79. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Libertad Sunchales. Libertad Sunchales was ahead by 2 points at the halftime before a 50-36 second half run of CASLA. They outrebounded Libertad Sunchales 40-28 including a 34-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international forward Walter Herrmann (206-79) who helped to win the game recording 21 points and 9 rebounds and power forward Fernando Martina (200-81) who added 23 points and 5 rebounds (perfect from the field making all ten shots !!!) during the contest. The best for the losing side was American power forward Lee Roberts (201-87, college: Findlay, OH) with 18 points and Marcos Saglietti (190-86) scored 14 points and 5 assists. Four Libertad Sunchales players scored in double figures. Newly promoted CASLA maintains third position with 16-12 record having just three point less than leader Olimpico LB. Libertad Sunchales at the other side keeps the second place with 13 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
