Regular Season Round 18: Palencia - Palma 74-59

An interesting game for Palencia Baloncesto (16-2) which hosted in Palencia 3rd ranked Palma (11-7). First ranked Palencia Baloncesto had an easy win 74-59. The game was mostly controlled by Palencia Baloncesto. Palma managed to win third quarter 18-11. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a good game for power forward Urko Otegui (203-81) who led his team to a victory with 12 points and 9 rebounds. Point guard Daniel Rodriguez (182-84) contributed with 8 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. The former international power forward Ricardo Guillen (207-76, agency: Duran International) replied with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds and Javier Lucas (207-87) added 12 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Palma. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Palencia Baloncesto have a solid three-game winning streak. Palencia Baloncesto maintains first position with 16-2 record. Palma at the other side keeps the third place with seven games lost. They share the position with Burgos. Palencia Baloncesto is looking forward to face Burgos (#4) on the road in the next round. Palma will play against the league's second-placed Melilla Baloncesto and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
