Regular Season Round 14: Tarvas - Parnu 89-64
Date: January 15, 2016
The game in Rakvere supposed to be also quite interesting. 5th ranked Parnu (5-8) played at the court of sixth ranked BC Rakvere (6-7). BC Rakvere smashed Parnu 89-64 on Friday. The game was mostly controlled by BC Rakvere. Parnu managed to win fourth quarter 22-21. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. BC Rakvere looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists comparing to just 7 passes made by Parnu's players. Latvian guard Reinis Strupovics (190-87) notched 22 points and 7 assists to lead the effort and American forward David Haughton (198-91, college: Purchase) supported him with 16 points and 14 rebounds. Five BC Rakvere players scored in double figures. Even 23 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists by American guard Mark Dorris (188-85, college: Marshall) did not help to save the game for Parnu. The former international center Rain Raadik (208-89) added 11 points and 6 rebounds for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. BC Rakvere moved-up to fifth place. Loser Parnu dropped to the seventh position with eight games lost. BC Rakvere will meet at home higher ranked Rapla (#3) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Parnu will play against TLU/Kalev (#4) in Tallinn and hope to secure a win.
