Regular Season Round 17: Maurienne - SAP Vaucluse 82-76

Date: January 15, 2016
Rather predictable result in Aix-les-Bains where fifth ranked Aix-Maurienne (11-5) beat 7th ranked SAP Vaucluse (9-8) 82-76 on Friday. Aix-Maurienne made 17-of-21 free shots (81.0 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was American power forward Steffon Bradford (198-77, college: Nebraska) who scored 19 points. Naturalized Algerian Karim Atamna (196-80) chipped in 15 points and 5 rebounds. Aix-Maurienne's coach Francois Sence used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Guard Daye Kaba (191-86, college: Marist) produced 19 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists and Lithuanian forward Zygimantas Jonusas (200-82) added 19 points respectively for the guests. Five SAP Vaucluse players scored in double figures. Aix-Maurienne have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain fifth place with 11-5 record. Loser SAP Vaucluse dropped to the sixth position with eight games lost. Aix-Maurienne will face Vitre (#17) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. SAP Vaucluse will play against the league's leader ADA Blois (#1) and hope to win that game.
