Regular Season Round 13: Provence Basket - Denain 84-63

Rather predictable result in Fos-sur-Mer where eighth ranked Provence Basket (7-6) smashed 12th ranked Denain Voltaire (5-8) 84-63 on Friday. The hosts trailed by 5 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 4-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 84-63. Provence Basket made 16-of-18 free shots (88.9 percent) during the game. Provence Basket had a 24-12 advantage in offensive rebounds. They shot the lights out from three sinking 12 long-distance shots on high 60.0 percentage. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the third consecutive win for Provence Basket. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Loser Denain Voltaire dropped to the thirteenth position with eight games lost. Provence Basket will face Charleville-Mezieres (#15) on the road in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Denain Voltaire will play against Lille Metropole and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
