Regular Season Round 15: Scrivia - San Salvatore 63-51

There was an upset when higher ranked San Salvatore (7-8) was defeated on the road by thirteenth ranked Scrivia (4-11) 63-51 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Scrivia. San Salvatore was better in third quarter 16-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The best player for the winners was point guard Giulia Porro (169-95, agency: SPORTlab Agency) who scored 20 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Guard Francesca Bergante (172-82) chipped in 13 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals. At the other side the best for losing team was Slovenian power forward Ana Ljubenovic (185-88) who recorded a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds and forward Giorgia Manfrc (183-92) added 18 points respectively. Scrivia moved-up to twelfth place in A2. Loser San Salvatore dropped to the eighth position with eight games lost. Scrivia will face league's leader Broni on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
