Regular Season Round 16: PGE Turow - Torun 82-85

Twelfth-ranked PGE Turow (6-9) made lots of trouble for fourth ranked Twarde Pierniki (12-5) in Zgorzelec on Saturday. The visitors from Torun managed to secure only three-point victory 85-82. However their fans expected much easier game. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But PGE Turow won third quarter 21-14. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Montenegrin center Stevan Milosevic (211-85, agency: Interperformances) fired a double-double by scoring 17 points and 13 rebounds (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!) for the winners. The former international Lukasz Wisniewski (186-84, college: Barton Co. CC, agency: Promotex) chipped in 19 points. The former international Mateusz Kostrzewski (200-89) produced 22 points and 7 rebounds and Australian-Trinidad and Tobago guard Daniel Dillon (193-86, college: Arizona) added 14 points and 5 assists respectively for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Twarde Pierniki moved-up to third place, which they share with Anwil. Loser PGE Turow keeps the twelfth position with nine games lost. Twarde Pierniki will face MKS Dabrowa Gornicza (#10) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. PGE Turow will play against MKS Start in Lublin and hope to win that game.
