Regular Season Round 15: Artego Bydg. - Polkowice 80-44

Round 15 in BLK means a new league leader. The biggest surprise took place in Bydgoszcz where host Artego Bydg. (12-3) crushed league's leader Polkowice (12-3) 80-44 on Saturday evening. It ended at the same time the 11-game winning streak of Polkowice. It was a key game for the second position in the league. Artego Bydg. dominated down low during the game scoring 44 of its points in the paint compared to Polkowice's 24. Artego Bydg. forced 19 Polkowice turnovers. The best player for the winners was American Amisha Carter (186-82, college: Louisiana Tech, agency: Josep and Nicolas) who had a double-double by scoring 13 points and 12 rebounds. International point guard Julie McBride (165-82, college: Syracuse) chipped in 9 points and 11 assists. Four Artego Bydg. players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American power forward Nikki Greene (193-90, college: Penn St.) who recorded 10 points and 8 rebounds and forward Ewelina Gala (185-90, agency: Interperformances) added 12 points respectively. Artego Bydg. have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They moved-up to second place, which they share with defeated Polkowice. Polkowice will play next round against league's leader Wisla Krakow trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Artego Bydg. will try to continue on its current victory against twelfth ranked MKK Siedlce at home.
