Regular Season Round 31: Tokyo Cinq R. - Fukushima 62-78

Very expected game when 12th ranked Tokyo Cinq R. (1-24) was defeated at home by fifth ranked Fukushima (15-10) 78-62 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Fukushima. Tokyo Cinq R. was better in fourth quarter 19-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was also dominated by American players. It was a great evening for forward Stephan Van Treese (206-90, college: Louisville, agency: Two Points) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 18 rebounds. Swingman Le'Bryan Nash (201-92, college: Oklahoma St.) helped adding 16 points and 11 rebounds. Four Fukushima players scored in double figures. At the losing side guard Ryan Sypkens (193-91, college: Cal-Davis) responded with 18 points and 8 rebounds and center John Florveus (211-90, college: Georgia) produced a double-double by scoring 11 points and 15 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Fukushima maintains fifth place with 15-10 record. Tokyo Cinq R. lost their eighteenth game in a row. They keep the twelfth position with 24 games lost. Fukushima will have a break next round. Tokyo Cinq R. will play again at home against Fukushima (#5) and hope to win that game.
