Regular Season Round 14: Araski AES - GDKO Bizkaia 74-51

An interesting game for Araski AES (10-4) which hosted in Vitoria-Gasteiz second-ranked GDKO Bizkaia (12-2). Third ranked Araski AES had an easy win 74-51. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of GDKO Bizkaia. The hosts trailed by 3 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 3-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 74-51. Araski AES dominated on the defensive end, holding GDKO Bizkaia to just 7 points in third quarter. They made 20-of-24 free shots (83.3 percent) during the game. Araski AES forced 26 GDKO Bizkaia turnovers. Forward Ane Aldalur (178-89) orchestrated the victory by scoring 31 points and 8 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field). GDKO Bizkaia's coach gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Araski AES have an impressive six-game winning streak. They maintain third position in Group A with 10-4 record having just two points less than leader Alcobendas, which they share with Adareva. GDKO Bizkaia at the other side keeps the second place with two games lost. Araski AES is looking forward to face C.Adelantados (#7) in San Cristobal in the next round. GDKO Bizkaia will play at home against Cortegada (#9) and is hoping to win this game.
