No shocking result in a game when fifth ranked Adareva (10-4) crushed 13th ranked Oviedo (2-12) in SC Laguna 72-52 on Saturday. The game without a history. Adareva led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Chilean power forward Catalina Abuyeres (182-97) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds. American-Nigerian swingman Anma Onyeuku (181-91, college: Hofstra) contributed with 11 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Five Adareva players scored in double figures. Adareva's coach used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Ana Fernandez (-93) replied with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 11 rebounds and Carolina Ramos (-93) added 6 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Oviedo. Adareva moved-up to third place in Group A, which they share with Araski AES. Loser Oviedo keeps the thirteenth position with 12 games lost. Adareva will face ADBA (#14) in Aviles in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Oviedo will play at home against the league's leader Al-Qazeres and hope to win that game.
