Regular Season Round 14: Sagunto - Cartagena 67-64

The game between closely ranked teams ended with ninth ranked Sagunto's (3-10) home victory over 10th ranked Cartagena (1-12) 67-64 on Saturday. Cartagena was trailing by 7 points at halftime but managed to get 3-point lead after three quarters before a 20-14 charge of Sagunto, which allowed them to win the game. The best player for the winners was forward Alejandro Alcaniz (192-89) who scored 22 points. American forward Devin Kastrup (203-92, college: Western St.) chipped in 16 points and 7 rebounds. Sagunto's coach used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. Guard Chema Albaladejo (191-90) produced 21 points and point guard Pablo Carselle (183-93) added 16 points respectively for the guests. Newly promoted Sagunto maintains ninth position in Group E with 3-10 record. Loser Cartagena keeps the tenth place with 12 games lost. Sagunto will face higher ranked Benidorm (#8) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Cartagena will play against UCAM Murcia II and hope to win that game.
