A very interesting game took place in Buenos Aires. It ended with only three-point defeat on the road of higher ranked Bahia Basket (13-15) to ninth ranked Lanus (11-17) 77-74 on Saturday evening. The hosts were ahead by 1 point but lost the second period ending it with a 10-point deficit before their 23-10 run, which allowed them to win the game. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward John Millsap (198-82, college: UTSA, agency: Interperformances) who helped to win the game recording 15 points. His fellow American import swingman Rodney Green (196-88, college: La Salle) contributed with 11 points for the winners. Millsap is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Guard Lucio Redivo (183-94) answered with 27 points and American center Anthony Laveal Johnson (203-88, college: Fairfield) added 17 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Bahia Basket. Four Bahia Basket players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Lanus moved-up to eighth place. Bahia Basket lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the sixth position with 15 games lost. Lanus' next round opponent will be higher ranked Quimsa (#5) in Santiado Estero and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
