Regular Season Round 4: Al Riyadi - Homenetmen 105-87

There was a change at the Pepsi LBL leadership position after last games. The most important game of round 4 took place in Beirut between two undefeated teams where Al Riyadi beat Homenetmen (3-1) 105-87 on Saturday night. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Homenetmen. It was a key game for the top position in the league. Al Riyadi shot the lights out from three sinking 15 long-distance shots on high 60.0 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Homenetmen's players. Americans were the main players on the court. Worth to mention a great performance of Aaron Harper (203-81, college: Mississippi) who helped to win the game recording 30 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and center Chris Daniels (212-84, college: Limoges) who added 18 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side forward Dewayne Jackson (203-90, college: Morgan St., agency: Higher Vision Sports) responded with 32 points and 5 rebounds and guard Justin Tubbs (190-87, college: E.Tenn.St.) scored 27 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Al Riyadi have a solid three-game winning streak. Defending champion (3-0) keeps a position of league leader. Homenetmen at the other side dropped to the second place with one game lost. They share the position with Moutahed. They were replaced at the leadership position by Al Riyadi. Homenetmen will play next round against strong Al Moutahed trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Al Riyadi will try to continue on its current victory against fourth ranked Tadamon on the road.
