Not a big story in a game when 15th ranked AZS AWF Mick. (4-14) lost on the road to fourth ranked GKS Tychy (12-6) 92-77 on Saturday. GKS Tychy dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to AZS AWF Mick.'s 34. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when GKS Tychy made 8 blocks. Power forward Tomasz Deja (200-83) notched 18 points and 9 rebounds to lead the effort and the former international power forward Wojciech Barycz (208-84, agency: Interperformances) supported him with 19 points and 7 rebounds. Even 25 points and 8 rebounds (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line) by Mariusz Piotrkowski (198-84) did not help to save the game for AZS AWF Mick.. Guard Lukasz Szczypka (185-80) added 13 points. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. GKS Tychy maintains fourth position with 12-6 record. AZS AWF Mick. lost third consecutive game.
