Regular Season Round 13: Lyon - Hainaut 73-78

There was a small surprise when ninth ranked Hainaut (5-7) beat on the road 7th ranked Lyon (6-6) 78-73. The guests were already 13 points ahead after 3 quarters before a 21-13 Lyon's run in the last quarter cut the lead to 78-73 at the end of the game. It was a great shooting night for Hainaut especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 62.5 percentage. It was a very good performance for Czech forward Romana Hejdova (184-88) who helped to win the game recording 20 points. Point guard Joyce Cousseins-Smith (165-88) contributed with 13 points and 5 assists for the winners. American center Latoya Williams (192-87, college: Chipola JC) answered with a double-double by scoring 16 points, 15 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals and Serbian Dajana Butulija (176-86, agency: Beo Basket) added 16 points and 7 assists in the effort for Lyon. Five Hainaut and four Lyon players scored in double figures. Hainaut moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Mondeville. Lyon at the other side keeps the seventh position with six games lost. Hainaut will play against Angers (#12) on the road in the next round. Lyon will play against Villeneuve D'Ascq (#4) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
