Regular Season Round 11: Niki Lefkadas - Athinaikos 68-65

The most exciting game of round 11 in the A1 took place in Lefkadas. This derby game ended with only three-point defeat on the road of 6th ranked Athinaikos (5-6) to fourth ranked Niki Lefkadas (6-5) 68-65 on Sunday evening. American players dominated the game. Swingman Jasmine Gill (185-90, college: JMU) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 16 rebounds. Guard Ariya Crook-Williams (170-93, college: USC) contributed with 25 points for the winners. Four Niki Lefkadas players scored in double figures. Guard Hailey Dunham (188-87, college: USC, agency: Merit Management Group) answered with a double-double by scoring 28 points and 15 rebounds and guard Cherise Daniel (180-87, college: Ohio St.) added 15 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Athinaikos. Newly promoted Niki Lefkadas maintains fourth place with 6-5 record, which they share with PAOK. Athinaikos at the other side keeps the sixth position with six games lost. They share it with Kronos AD. Niki Lefkadas is looking forward to face PAOK (#5) in Thessaloniki in the next round. Athinaikos will play at home against Aris Petropolis and is hoping to prove to their supporters that this time they can win.
