There was no surprise when bottom-ranked Sant Lluis (0-12) was crushed at home by sixth ranked Salt (7-6) 60-35 on Sunday. The game without a history. Salt led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Sant Lluis to just 4 points in second quarter. Salt held Sant Lluis to an opponent 23.4 percent shooting from the field compared to 33.3 percent accuracy of the winners. They outrebounded Sant Lluis 47-36 including 36 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was Toni Espinosa (195-96) who scored 16 points. Forward Genis Bover (201-91) chipped in 8 points and 7 rebounds. Coach Eric Suris's team controlled all game and the coach could let to play all 12 players saving starting five for next games. Forward Ismael Segui (198-87) produced 15 points and 5 rebounds and forward Sergio Munoz (197-82) added 6 points respectively for the hosts. Salt moved-up to fourth place in Group C-A. Newly promoted Sant Lluis still closes the standings with 12 games lost. Salt will face higher ranked Cornella (#3) at home in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Sant Lluis will play against Barbera (#5) in Barcelona and hopes to get finally their first victory.
