The game between closely ranked teams ended with 11th ranked Orvieto's (4-11) road loss to tenth ranked Battipaglia (6-9) 76-91 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Battipaglia. Orvieto was better in fourth quarter 20-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 20-of-26 free shots (76.9 percent) during the game. The best for the losing side was Canadian forward Taryn Wicijowski (190-91, college: Utah, agency: LBM Management) with 29 points and 8 rebounds (on 11-of-14 shooting from the field) and Croatian swingman Jelena Ivezic (182-84) scored 18 points. Battipaglia moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Parma. Loser Orvieto keeps the eleventh position with 11 games lost. Battipaglia will face league's leader Ragusa on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Orvieto will play against Di Lupari (#5) and hope to win that game.
