Regular Season Round 15: Costa Masnaga - Crema 53-64

No shocking result in a game when second ranked Team Crema (12-3) defeated on the road 10th ranked Costa Masnaga (6-9) 64-53 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Team Crema. Costa Masnaga was better in fourth quarter 16-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Team Crema forced 22 Costa Masnaga turnovers. The best player for the winners was guard Paola Caccialanza (175-89) who scored 17 points and 5 rebounds. Latvian forward Ieva Veinberga (185-84) chipped in 15 points and 6 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was power forward Marta Meroni (185-93) who recorded a double-double by scoring 16 points and 11 rebounds and Slovenian guard Katarina Ristic (170-84, agency: Two Points) added 12 points and 5 steals respectively. Team Crema maintains second place in A2 with 12-3 record having five points less than leader Broni. Newly promoted Costa Masnaga keeps the tenth position with nine games lost. Team Crema will face Alpo VR (#6) in Verona in the next round. Costa Masnaga will play on the road against Pordenone (#7) and hope to win that game.
