The game in Beirut was also worth to mention about. 6th ranked Byblos (1-3) played at the court of seventh ranked Sagesse (2-2). Sagesse managed to secure a 4-point victory 91-87. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Byblos won third quarter 22-12. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Sagesse won last quarter 30-28. It was a very good performance for American point guard Dion Dixon (190-89, college: Cincinnati) who helped to win the game recording 24 points and 5 assists. The former international power forward Jarrid Famous (209-88, college: S.Florida) contributed with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. International Jasmon Youngblood (195-84, college: Kent St.) replied with 24 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists and American-Ukrainian guard Steven Burtt (189-84, college: Iona) added 26 points and 4 assists in the effort for Byblos. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Sagesse moved-up to fifth place. Byblos lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the eighth position with three games lost. Sagesse's next round opponent will be bottom-ranked Louaize (#9).
