Very expected game when 10th ranked Nysa Klodzko (7-11) lost to sixth ranked Znicz Basket (11-7) in Pruszkow 56-69 on Sunday. Power forward Mateusz Szwed (198-91) notched 20 points and 8 rebounds to lead the effort and swingman Damian Janiak (195-89) supported him with 11 points and 6 rebounds. Four Znicz Basket players scored in double figures. Even 10 points and 8 rebounds by guard Michal Weiss (188-82) did not help to save the game for Nysa Klodzko. Forward Marcin Bluma (201-89) added 13 points. Znicz Basket moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Pogon Prudnik. Newly promoted Nysa Klodzko keeps the tenth position with 11 games lost. They share it with Notec Inowr. and SKK Siedlce. Znicz Basket will meet Biofarm PZN (#13) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Nysa Klodzko will play against Spojnia and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
