Regular Season Round 17: Senigallia - Vasto 63-67

There was a surprise result when sixteenth ranked Vasto (5-12) won against on the road higher ranked Senigallia (9-8) 67-63 on Sunday. Strangely Senigallia outrebounded Vasto 50-38 including a 19-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. Senigallia was plagued by 30 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was guard Andrea Tracchi (175-86) who scored 22 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists. Center Andrea Casettari (200-85) chipped in 11 points and 9 rebounds. Forward Mirco Pierantoni (200-81) produced 8 points and 20 rebounds and guard Sergio Maddaloni (195-82) added 10 points and 7 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Vasto moved-up to twelfth place, which they share with Martina Franca and Bottegone. Senigallia lost their third game in a row. They keep the sixth position with eight games lost. Vasto will face Taranto (#15) at home in the next round.
