Second Stage Round 2: KFUM Central - Talje 59-50

There was a minor upset in Stockholm where Talje Knights (1-3) were defeated by KFUM Central (1-3) 59-50 on Sunday. The hosts trailed by 7 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 5-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 59-50. KFUM Central dominated on the defensive end, holding Talje Knights to just 4 points in second quarter. KFUM Central forced 23 Talje Knights turnovers and outrebounded them 41-25 including a 17-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. Guard Mikael Banks (191-81) scored 14 points and 9 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and power forward Erik Lundmark (206-83) chipped in 12 points, 10 rebounds and 4 blocks during the contest. KFUM Central's coach used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Power forward Michiel Petersen (202-94) responded with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 11 rebounds and point guard Henrik Sjolin (183-97) scored 9 points. KFUM Central will face LF Future (#3) in Lulea in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Talje Knights will play at home against KFUM Uppsala (#2) and hope to win that game.
