Regular Season Round 15: Asseco II - Trefl II Sopot 70-73

Important game to mention about took place in Gdynia. Ninth ranked Trefl II Sopot (5-10) saved a 3-point victory on the road edging second-best Asseco II (11-4) 73-70 on Sunday evening. It was quite big embarassment for the home team. It was a great evening for Pawel Krefft (192-96) who led his team to a victory scoring 15 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Rafal Stefanik (197-94, agency: Promotex) helped adding 14 points and 6 rebounds (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line). The best for the losing side was guard Mariusz Konopatzki (192-96) with 13 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and Karol Majchrzak (196-97) scored 11 points and 7 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Trefl II Sopot maintains ninth place in Group A with 5-10 record. Asseco II at the other side dropped to the third position with four games lost. Trefl II Sopot will play against higher ranked Pelplin (#4) in Pelpin in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Asseco II will play on the road against Basket Pila and hopes to get back on the winning track.
