12th ranked Cagliari CUS (3-12) was outscored at home by third ranked Familia Schio (13-2) with the biggest margin this round 87-64 on Sunday night. The game was mostly controlled by Familia Schio. Cagliari CUS was better in second period 20-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Cagliari CUS to just 7 points in first quarter. They outrebounded Cagliari CUS 42-22 including a 29-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. Familia Schio looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. (went 13 for 13 at the free throw line !!!) and Bosnian center Nikolina Milic (191-94, agency: LBM Management) produced a double-double by scoring 11 points and 11 rebounds. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Familia Schio. Defending champion maintains third place with 13-2 record having just six point less than leader Ragusa. Cagliari CUS lost their eighth game in a row. They dropped to the thirteenth position with 12 games lost. Familia Schio will face Umbertide (#6) at home in the next round. Cagliari CUS will play against Venezia (#4) and hope to win that game.
