There was no surprise when 13th ranked VL Pesaro (5-11) was defeated at home by eighth ranked Scandone AV (8-8) 88-82 on Monday. The guests trailed by 3 points at the halftime before their 47-38 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Scandone AV made 20-of-24 free shots (83.3 percent) during the game. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward James Nunnally (201-90, college: UCSB) who helped to win the game recording 19 points and 8 rebounds and Croatian power forward Ivan Buva (208-91) who added 18 points and 6 rebounds (made all of his nine free throws !!!) during the contest. At the losing side American guard Semaj Christon (190-92, college: Xavier) responded with 19 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists and his fellow American import forward Austin Daye (211-88, college: Gonzaga, agency: Alti Sport) produced a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds. Four Scandone AV and five VL Pesaro players scored in double figures. Scandone AV have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain eighth position with 8-8 record. VL Pesaro lost third consecutive game. They keep the thirteenth place with 11 games lost. They share the position with O.Lavoro BO and Auxilium TO. Scandone AV will meet at home league's leader Grissin Bon RE in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. VL Pesaro will play against Giorgo Tesi PT (#4) in Pistoia and hope to secure a win.
