Regular Season Round 4: Camaguey - Guantanamo 76-75

The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of undefeated Guantanamo (3-1) on the court of fourth ranked Camaguey on Tuesday night. Visitors were edged by Camaguey 76-75. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Guantanamo. Camaguey forced 25 Guantanamo turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of international forward Leidis Oquendo (180-82, agency: Pro Sports) who helped to win the game recording 24 points and 7 rebounds. International center Marlenis Cepeda (193-85) contributed with 17 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Four Camaguey players scored in double figures. Forward Oslaidis Rojas (180-91) replied with 24 points and 6 rebounds and forward Nayara Ocana (180-92) added 14 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Guantanamo. Guantanamo's coach Adrian Laffita tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Camaguey maintains fourth position with 2-2 record. Guantanamo at the other side still keeps top place with one game lost. They share the position with Pinar del Rio and Capitalinas. Camaguey are looking forward to face Santiago (#5) in the next round. Guantanamo will play against Villa Clara (#6) and is hoping to win this game.
