Very important is a home loss of third ranked Paulistano (11-5) against fourth ranked Brasilia (11-5) on Tuesday night. Host Paulistano was defeated by Brasilia in a tough game in Sao Paolo 75-81. The guests were already 16 points ahead after 3 quarters before a 26-16 Paulistano's run in the last quarter cut the lead to 81-75 at the end of the game. International point guard Deryk Ramos (185-94) scored 27 points and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and center Ronald Reis (211-91) chipped in 14 points and 7 rebounds (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!) during the contest. Four Brasilia players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was the former international Jhonatan Luz dos Santos (196-87) with 18 points and 7 rebounds and the former international center Caio Silveira (211-87, agency: Interperformances) scored 17 points. Paulistano's coach Gustavo Conti tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Brasilia have an impressive seven-game winning streak. Defending champion moved-up to third place, which they share with defeated Paulistano. Paulistano lost third consecutive game. Brasilia will play against Vivo/Franca (#8) in Sao Paulo in the next round where they are favorite. Paulistano will play on the road against Universo/Vitoria (#12) in Salvador and hopes to get back on the winning track.
