Regular Season Round 31: Shandong FB - Jilin NE T. 136-115

Not a big story in a game when 18th ranked Jilin Tigers (7-24) were outscored by fifth ranked Shandong Bulls (23-8) in Jinan 136-115 on Wednesday. The game without a history. Shandong Bulls led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They shot the lights out from three sinking 18 long-distance shots on high 54.5 percentage. Shandong Bulls looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists. It was a very good performance for American forward Michael Beasley (208-89, college: Kansas St.) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 32 points, 11 rebounds and 9 assists. American-Ukrainian point guard Eugene Jeter (180-83, college: Portland) contributed with 37 points (!!!) and 5 assists for the winners. Shandong Bulls' coach Aleksandar Kesar felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American-Puerto Rican center Peter Ramos (222-85) answered with a double-double by scoring 31 points and 11 rebounds (made all of his seven free throws) and Nigerian-American point guard Josh-Emmanuel Akognon (180-86, college: CS Fullerton) added 26 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists in the effort for Jilin Tigers. Five Shandong Bulls and four Jilin Tigers players scored in double figures. Shandong Bulls have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Guangsha L. Jilin Tigers lost sixth consecutive game. They dropped to the seventeenth position with 24 games lost. Shandong Bulls will face higher ranked Sichuan BW (#3) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Jilin Tigers will play against Jiangsu TX (#15) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
