Regular Season Round 10: Levski 2014 - Teodo Tivat 65-71

An exciting game was played in Sofia. Third ranked Montenegrin Teodo Tivat faced 4th ranked Bulgarian Levski 2014. Guests from Tivat (5-3) defeated host Levski 2014 (2-6) 71-65. The guests started the game with a very strong first quarter 24-8. But Levski 2014 won second period 24-19. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Teodo Tivat dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Levski 2014's 32. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Srdjan Subotic (193-88) who helped to win the game recording 10 points and 7 assists. American guard Aaron Mitchell (188-89, college: Longwood) contributed with 13 points (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) for the winners. Teodo Tivat's coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Forward Aleks Simeonov (200-93) replied with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 11 rebounds and guard Evgeni Hadjirusev (193-95) added 17 points in the effort for Levski 2014. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Teodo Tivat moved-up to second place in Group B, which they share with Bashkimi. Levski 2014 lost sixth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with six games lost.
