The game with biggest result difference took place in Cancun. Local Pioneros (26-3) outscored 5th ranked Jefes (13-14) 89-59 on Wednesday night. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Jefes. The game was mostly controlled by Pioneros. Jefes managed to win fourth quarter 16-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Pioneros shot the lights out from three sinking 14 long-distance shots on high 56.0 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Worth to mention a quality performance of international guard Orlando Mendez-Valdez (183-86, college: W.Kentucky, agency: Pro Sports) who helped to win the game recording 14 points and 6 rebounds. American-Puerto Rican point guard Denis Clemente (183-86, college: Kansas St.) helped adding 13 points and 9 assists. Five Pioneros players scored in double figures. Pioneros' coach felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side American forward Jalen Cannon (198-93, college: St.Francis, NY) responded with a double-double by scoring 17 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists and American-Puerto Rican Javier Mojica (190-84, college: Cent.Conn.St., agency: Paris Global Sports) scored 13 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Pioneros. They maintain second place with 26-3 record behind leader Soles. Loser Jefes keep the fifth position with 14 games lost.
