Regular Season Round 32: Sichuan BW - Shandong FB 99-125

We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when one of their biggest challengers Sichuan BW (24-8) was rolled over at home by fourth ranked Shandong Bulls (24-8) 125-99 on Friday. The guests trailed by 3 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 9-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 125-99. Shandong Bulls made 21-of-25 free shots (84.0 percent) during the game. Shandong Bulls outrebounded Sichuan BW 57-36 including a 21-10 advantage in offensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Michael Beasley (208-89, college: Kansas St.) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 30 points, 22 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals and American-Ukrainian point guard Eugene Jeter (180-83, college: Portland) who added 43 points (!!!) and 6 rebounds during the contest. Shandong Bulls' coach Aleksandar Kesar felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American Mike Harris (198-83, college: Rice) responded with a double-double by scoring 31 points, 15 rebounds and 5 assists and center Cheng Jia (207-91) produced a double-double by scoring 22 points and 10 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Shandong Bulls have an impressive six-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place, which they share with defeated Sichuan BW. Sichuan BW lost third consecutive game. Shandong Bulls will face Qingdao Eagles (#11) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Sichuan BW will play against Shanghai Sharks (#12) and hope to win that game.
