The game between third ranked Rapla (9-5) and fifth ranked BC Rakvere (7-7) was the most important one in the last round on Friday night. Rapla was crushed by BC Rakvere in Rakvere 90-70. The game was mostly controlled by BC Rakvere. Rapla managed to win fourth quarter 21-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Rapla 43-30 including a 20-9 advantage in offensive rebounds. 25 personal fouls committed by Rapla helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a great evening for international forward Janari Joesaar (198-93, college: UTRGV) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 11 rebounds (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line). Latvian Roberts Stumbris (199-93) helped adding 21 points and 5 rebounds. Four BC Rakvere players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American guard Devin Brooks (186-92, college: Creighton) with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 13 rebounds and the former international forward Indrek Kajupank (200-88) scored 14 points. BC Rakvere maintains fifth place with 7-7 record. Rapla lost third consecutive game. They keep the third position with five games lost. BC Rakvere will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Rapla will play at home against Valga and is hoping to win this game.
