An interesting game for Sigal Prishtina (10-3) which hosted in Prishtina 4th ranked Trepca (7-7). Second ranked Sigal Prishtina had an easy win 87-48. Sigal Prishtina dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Trepca's 26. Sigal Prishtina forced 21 Trepca turnovers and outrebounded them 43-25 including a 31-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. Sigal Prishtina looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Trepca's players. Worth to mention a great performance of Bulgarian guard Stanimir Marinov (192-91, agency: Interperformances) who helped to win the game recording 12 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists. American guard Willie Kemp (185-87, college: Memphis) contributed with 14 points and 4 assists (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) for the winners. Four Sigal Prishtina players scored in double figures. Power forward Besnik Azemi (198-89) replied with 10 points and 7 rebounds and swingman Valdrin Haxhiu (191-88) added 9 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Trepca. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Sigal Prishtina have a solid three-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains second position with 10-3 record having five points less than leader Peja. Trepca at the other side keeps the fourth place with seven games lost. Sigal Prishtina are looking forward to face Vellaznimi (#6) in Gjakove in the next round. Trepca will play at home against Ylli and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
