Regular Season Round 32: Fujian QB - DongGuan L. 111-72

There was a surprise result in Jinjiang where sixteenth ranked Fujian (12-20) smashed higher ranked DongGuan Leopards (16-16) 111-72 on Friday. The game was mostly controlled by Fujian. DongGuan Leopards was better in fourth quarter 24-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Fujian made 21-of-23 free shots (91.3 percent) during the game. Worth to mention a great performance of Lebanese swingman Fadi Khatib (199-79) who helped to win the game recording 28 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists and American point guard Dwight Buycks (191-89, college: Marquette) who added 26 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists (perfect from the field making all nine shots !!!) during the contest. Five Fujian players scored in double figures. Forward Jie Zhao (202-91) responded with 17 points and international center Muhao Li (218-92) scored 12 points and 6 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Fujian moved-up to fourteenth place, which they share with North Control B. Loser DongGuan Leopards keep the ninth position with 16 games lost. Fujian will face North Control (#14) in Beijing in the next round.
