Rather expected game when 11th ranked Panteras (6-22) lost to ninth ranked Santos (11-19) in San Luis Potosi 80-90 on Friday. Santos looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Panteras' players. The winners were led by forward Juan Luis Ramirez (196-91) who scored that evening 19 points and 6 rebounds (perfect from downtown making all five shots) and American forward Chris Cayole (201-85, college: St.Michael's) supported him with 19 points and 5 rebounds. Even 23 points by American-Panamanian Levour Warren (196-81, college: S.Carolina) did not help to save the game for Panteras. F Misael added 11 points and 10 rebounds for the guests. Santos have an impressive six-game winning streak. They moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Gigantes. Panteras lost eighth consecutive game. They stay dead last with 22 lost games. Santos will meet higher ranked Jefes (#5) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Panteras will play against Halcones Rojos (#4) and hope to secure a win.
