Regular Season Round 15: Victoria - Olimpia 65-106

Another exciting game was again a derby match of two local teams from Grodno: Olimpia GrGAU (#3) and Victoria (#7). Victoria was crushed at home by 41 points 65-106 and even the fact of playing on their own court did not help. The game without a history. Olimpia GrGAU led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 20-of-23 free shots (87.0 percent) during the game. It was an exceptional evening for forward Olga Kopylova (187-82) who led the winners and scored 19 points and 4 assists. The former international forward Ksenya Voishal (182-94) accounted for 18 points and 5 rebounds for the winning side. Five Olimpia GrGAU players scored in double figures. Power forward Mariya Vasilevko (183-99) came up with 13 points and 8 rebounds and guard Yuliya Ruksha (164-98) added 14 points respectively for Victoria in the defeat. Victoria's coach already knew that her team would not have a big chance, so allowed to play twelve players seeing no chance for a win. Olimpia GrGAU (14-2) keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Tsmoki-Minsk and Gorizont. Loser Victoria keeps the seventh place with 13 games lost.
