Regular Season Round 19: Pogon Prudnik - Notec Inowr. 95-60

Sixth ranked Pogon Prudnik (12-7) crushed at home 10th ranked Notec Inowr. (7-12) by 35 points 95-60, which is the biggest margin this round on Saturday night. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Notec Inowr.. They outrebounded Notec Inowr. 38-25 including a 29-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. Pogon Prudnik shot the lights out from three sinking 16 long-distance shots on high 51.6 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Notec Inowr.'s players. Worth to mention a quality performance of guard Grzegorz Mordzak (182-77) who helped to win the game recording 13 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Power forward Tomasz Wojdyla (201-77) helped adding 7 points and 10 rebounds. Pogon Prudnik's coach Tomasz Michalak felt very confident that he used 11 players and allowed the starting five to rest. At the losing side point guard Aleksander Filipiak (185-90) responded with 14 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and forward Hubert Wierzbicki (196-91, agency: Promotex) scored 13 points and 5 rebounds. Pogon Prudnik moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Znicz Basket. Newly promoted Notec Inowr. dropped to the eleventh position with 12 games lost. Pogon Prudnik will face bottom-ranked GTK Gliwice (#16) on the road in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Notec Inowr. will play against Astoria Bydg. (#8) and hope to win that game.
