Regular Season Round 15: AEC Collblanc - Castellbisbal 61-53

No shocking result in a game in L´Hospitalet where second ranked AEC Collblanc (10-5) won against 9th ranked Castellbisbal (5-10) 61-53 on Saturday. The hosts trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 2-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 61-53. Castellbisbal was plagued by 29 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for power forward Javi Rodriguez (202-92) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 12 rebounds. Forward Lluis Jacas (198-90) helped adding 15 points and 7 rebounds. The best for the losing side was guard Felix Lopez (190-85) with 16 points and 5 rebounds and guard Roger Guardia (193-85, college: CS Fullerton) scored 10 points and 7 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The victory was the seventh consecutive win for AEC Collblanc. They maintain second place in Group C-B with 10-5 record having five points less than leader L'Hospitalet. Castellbisbal lost their third game in a row. Newly promoted team dropped to the eighth position with ten games lost. AEC Collblanc will face Pardinyes-L. (#6) in Lleida in the next round. Castellbisbal will play at home against the league's leader L'Hospitalet and hope to win that game.
