Regular Season Round 15: Andratx - Alcobendas 50-60

Not a big story in a game when 13th ranked Andratx (3-12) was defeated at home by first ranked Alcobendas (13-2) 60-50 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Alcobendas. Andratx was better in fourth quarter 13-11. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Alcobendas forced 28 Andratx turnovers. It was a great evening for center Aitana Cuevas (187-86) who led her team to a victory scoring 20 points and 7 rebounds. Guard Paula Palomares (174-84) helped adding 16 points. The best for the losing side was Neus Amengual (-95) with 19 points and 5 rebounds and power forward Helena Macein (176-89) scored 4 points and 9 rebounds. Alcobendas maintains first place in Group B with 13-2 record. Andratx lost their sixth game in a row. They dropped to the twelfth position with 12 games lost. Alcobendas will face Barcelona (#14) at home in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Andratx will play against Rivas Promete and hope to win that game.
